Connecticut ratified the U.S. Constitution in 1788 as the fifth State.
Connecticut adopted its flag in 1897. The grapevines in the coat of arms refer to the three original colonies -- Connecticut, New Haven, and Saybrook. The motto "He Who Brought Us Over Will Sustain Us," is based on the 80th Psalm.
Connecticut state flags, flag decals, and Connecticut state deal decals are available from FlagLine.com.
